It has been a relatively quiet week as the weeks have been going lately.
US missiles have continued to hit Russia'. Russia's top general on biological, chemical and radiological warfare (WMD) was assassinated leaving his Moscow apartment. Russia has continued bombing Ukraine and advancing by land but has taken no obvious "payback" steps for the assassination or the last set of moderate-range missile attacks.
The Congress did its usual year-end dance and passed a spending bill yesterday to keep the government operating for another 3 months. However, before the 118 page bill passed, another (over 1500 page) bill had been introduced Tuesday evening. This one included over 70 pages on pandemic preparedness which the pandemic industry was anxiously pushing. Luckily, it was cut from the bill before passage.
The Biden administration issued another PREP Act amendment extending its liability waiver for COVID vaccines, masks, ventilators and certain drugs for another 5 years.
While the media have been busy printing hit pieces about Robert F. Kennedy and implying that he wanted to delicense the polio vaccine and polio could reemerge and attacking other of Trump's chosen candidates, the pendulum has been turning. Kennedy and Trump said they loved polio vaccines, or words to that effect.
Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos have gone to Mar a Lago and kissed the ring. Does this mean the Washington Post will start printing the truth, as I suggested last month would help the newspaper's finances turn around? Time will tell.
Louisiana has instructed its public health employees to stop pushing vaccines for influenza, COVID and monkeypox. Boy, was it battered by the media on this decision. I responded here and here by showing that the risks associated with these vaccines are high and/or the benefits small, and that no-one is able to give their fully informed consent for any of these vaccines, as the public has been fed a load of hogwash about both the vaccines and the diseases they purport to prevent.
Woke globalist governments are falling in France, Germany, the UK and Canada. The AfD party of Christine Anderson (who really tells it like it is about the WEF and globalism) is said to be #2 in polls in Germany, where an election is predicted for March. Starmer is staring down a no confidence vote and Nigel Farage is seeking funds from Elon to build his campaign for Prime Minister. Justin Trudeau will also have to call an election. Macron is in the minority and just chose a new President as he attempts to stave off rebellion.
Meanwhile, globalist leaders in Georgia and Romania are trying to hang on to power past their use-by date, as Zelenskyy has done in Ukraine. Watch for more illegality in the election sphere.
Finally, bird flu (avian influenza, currently H5N1) has caused the first hospitalization of an American, who happened to be elderly with comorbidities. The strain causing the illness is NOT the strain spreading through poultry farms and dairies. Instead, it is a wild bird strain that presumably affected the patient's small outdoor flock.
The distinction is critically important for several reasons. First, it means that the 120 MILLION domestic birds culled in the US since early 2022 did nothing to prevent this (different) strain from causing a serious illness.
It shows up the foolishness, waste and abuse of power exhibited by the USDA, CDC and FDA, which have ordered the culling and paid for the poultry–which cost the US roughly a billion dollars. But these agencies do not have the budget to cull all the affected cows. The cows survive the illness, but are said to produce less milk after recovery. "Signs of illness have been reported in less than 10% of cows within a herd," according to the Journal of the Veterinary Medical Association, which said less than 2% of affected cows have been culled by their owners.
We have never been told what percent of chickens are affected. Nor have attempts been made to save any recovered poultry, which probably will have lifelong immunity and might teach us something about immune mechanisms for bird flu.
There have never been any reports of humans developing the infection from consuming infected milk, meat, chicken or eggs. So the policy goals for massive culling, and for increased surveillance of milk ordered this week, remain unclear. Is this just another virus that comes and goes like so many others for which there is no screening? If we were not screening for bird flu, would we even notice it?
Nonetheless, Governor Newsom of California declared a bird flu emergency, giving his administration the power to impose new rules on farmers and demand that citizens comply with what new orders he rolls out. Is the government trying to see what citizens are willing to put up with? We shall see.
