Dear Friends,
I wanted to give you an update on what has been happening. However, the big question on everyone's mind is, what is going to happen once Trump takes office in 4 days? Of course, no one outside his immediate circle knows, but I can give you a bit of info on what has already happened.
Our Door to Freedom strategy to fight globalism and the war on food and farming remains up in the air: whether to focus on states or the federal government to get the fastest results is just not clear yet. We are carefully looking at both possibilities. There is so much to do!
Governor DeSantis of Florida just appointed Attorney-General Ashley Moody to fill the Senate seat vacated by Marco Rubio. Door to Freedom expended much effort to try and convince Ashley Moody and Florida to be the first Attorney-General and state to reject the WHO's Pandemic Treaty and IHR amendments. Though we failed to convince Ashley to be first in line on this issue, she did join with 21 other A–Gs in early May to reject the WHO. Our efforts with her office last year may help open the door to her Senate office in future.
To me it seems good news is popping up all over, hinting of big change.
Four years ago, the net zero asset managers initiative formed, in order to pressure large financial management companies to support the "Net Zero" initiative. Black Rock recently pulled out of the organization, and almost immediately thereafter, the trade organization itself closed up shop. A significant victory, I believe, presaging wide rejection of arbitrary climate goals to come.
The EPA and FDA just this week began signaling they were concerned about toxins in our food, water and elsewhere. About time they discovered their missions, isn't it? This is an interesting hint that they will probably not resist the MAHA agenda outright.
Meantime, an article in Nature suggests there may be a way to break down the very tight carbon-fluorine bond that makes forever chemicals last forever in the environment. The EPA has finally started whispering that forever chemicals in sludge might be a problem… after telling farmers for many years to apply this poisonous chemical soup as fertilizer to their fields, and now perhaps 20% of US farmland has been so despoiled. Maine has banned the use of sludge on farms, and several other states have bills in play to ban it. What we need is a federal ban on sludge and a new approach to the approval and disposal of toxic materials. We will be working on this.
The newspapers Ha'aretz and Times of Israel have both reported that Trump's Middle East emissary Steve Witcoff forced Netanyahu to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza and a long-term deal last weekend. Maybe it is not the best deal — who knows — but it looks like the best thing to finally happen since October 7. Netanyahu cancelled plans to attend Trump's inauguration. Israel may have thought Trump was going to help them bomb Gaza to smithereens, based on his bombastic speech. But President Trump is a black box who thinks out of the box and loves to surprise.
Funny how careful the media are to avoid talking about genocide when it comes to Gaza. The same sensitivity is missing when it comes to Sudan, which is facing starvation, hundreds of thousands of dead and 11 million displaced in what seems to be yet another ruthless resource war.
Now the NY Times claims that chemical weapons have been used by Sudan's military. However, neither the type of chemical weapon, nor the identity of the NYT's informant are included in the article. So it may well be baseless propaganda. I will be keeping an eye out for more on this. Some may know I reported on allegations of chemical weapons use in Syria and followed/commented on the destruction of the US, Russian and Syrian chemical weapons stockpiles carefully.
I am very pleased that Trump is making an impact even before he becomes President. Let's wish him well and hope for the very best!
